Missed the Youth Future Savings October 7 Application Date? Apply Again Starting 12, Deadline 16
Missing the 2026-10-07 Youth Future Savings application date for people born in odd-numbered years does not mean the opportunity to apply is over. From October 12 through 16, eligible applicants can apply regardless of the last digit of their birth year. Applications are accepted from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

If You Missed October 7, You Can Apply Starting 12
The odd-even application system based on the last digit of an applicant's birth year applies only to the first two days of the 2 round of Youth Future Savings applications.

On October 7, people whose birth years end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 can apply. On October 8, people whose birth years end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 can apply.
From October 12 through 16, there are no restrictions based on the last digit of the birth year. Therefore, even if someone born in an odd-numbered year could not apply on October 7, they can apply again starting 12.
For example, if someone born in 1997 missed the October 7 application date, they do not need to apply on 8. Instead, they can apply starting October 12, when applications open to everyone.
Why Can't You Apply Again Immediately Starting 8?

October 8 is not a general application date either. It is the designated odd-even application date for people born in even-numbered years.

In addition, applications for this 2 round are accepted only on operating days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Accordingly, after the odd-even application dates on 7 and 8, applications open to everyone starting 12.
The application schedule is as follows.
October 7: People whose birth years end in an odd digit
October 8: People whose birth years end in an even digit
October 12~16: Applications open regardless of birth year
Application hours: 9 a.m.~6:30 p.m.
Therefore, missing the application date on 7 does not mean you have missed the entire 2 recruitment round. The final date to remember is October 16, when the general application period closes.
Where Can You Apply Starting 12?
Applications for Youth Future Savings are submitted online through the apps of participating financial institutions.
The participating institutions listed in the 2 recruitment announcement released on 2026-10-06 are NongHyup, Shinhan, Woori, Hana, IBK, KB Kookmin, Suhyup, iM, Busan, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Kyongnam, Kakao, and Korea Post. Toss Bank is expected to participate starting with the 3 recruitment round, rather than the current 2 round.
Generally, applicants can submit their applications without providing separate documents. However, additional documentation may be requested if further verification is necessary.
In particular, applicants seeking eligibility as small business owners through a sales revenue assessment must obtain a Small Business Confirmation Certificate before submitting their applications.
Your Savings Account Will Not Open Immediately When Applications Close on October 16
The period from October 7 through 16 is the application period, not the period for immediately opening savings accounts.

After submitting an application, applicants undergo an eligibility review covering income and other enrollment requirements. According to the schedule announced by the Financial Services Commission on 2026-10-06, final eligibility results are expected to be communicated from November 12 through 13. Applicants notified that they qualify can open their accounts and begin making deposits through participating institutions' apps from November 16 through 27.
The internal review schedule may change slightly depending on the number of applicants and the progress of eligibility assessments.
Therefore, it is more accurate to distinguish the process into the following stages: `Application → Eligibility Review → Results Notification → Account Opening and Deposits`.
Eligibility Requirements Still Apply Even When Applications Open to Everyone Starting 12
The general application period means that restrictions based on odd or even birth years no longer apply. It does not mean that enrollment eligibility requirements are waived.
The age-based eligibility range for this 2 recruitment round covers people born from 1991-11-17 through 2007-11-27. Applicants who have completed military service may exclude up to 6 years of military service from the calculation of their enrollment age.
Applicants must also have verifiable income for 2025 and undergo an eligibility review based on the prescribed requirements, including individual income, household income, or small business sales revenue.
Ultimately, the most important date for someone who missed the October 7 application date designated for odd-numbered birth years is October 12. Since applications can be submitted again from 12 through 16, applicants should confirm their eligibility and choose a participating financial institution before applying during operating hours, between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
