'Love Other Than You' may not follow the usual weekend drama schedule in which episode 3 airs immediately the week after episode 2 on September 13. KBS has officially announced that the 2026 Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games will take place from September 19 to October 4, and some currently available episode listings show October 10 as the air date for episode 3. However, the current search did not identify an official KBS program announcement definitively confirming the broadcast date for episode 3. Therefore, October 10 should not yet be treated as a confirmed broadcast date.
Why Might Episode 3 Not Air Immediately After Episode 2?
The biggest factor is the 2026 Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games.
On its official website, KBS states that the competition runs from Saturday, September 19, through Sunday, October 4. This period happens to overlap with the Saturday and Sunday broadcast slots of 'Love Other Than You' for three consecutive weekends.
'Love Other Than You' premiered on Saturday, September 12, at 9:20 p.m. Therefore, under a normal schedule of 2 episodes per week, episodes 3 and 4 would be expected to air on September 19 and 20. Those dates, however, coincide exactly with the start of Asian Games coverage.
Currently available unofficial episode listings identify September 19 through October 4 as a broadcast hiatus caused by Asian Games coverage and special programming.
So Is Episode 3 Really Scheduled to Air on October 10?
Some currently available online episode guides list Saturday, October 10, as the broadcast date for episode 3. The same sources list episode 4 for October 11, followed by one episode each Saturday and Sunday.
However, there is an important point to consider.
The broadcast schedules appearing in search results do not fully agree. Some sources indicate that the drama will resume on October 3–4, while other, more recent episode guides account for the Asian Games continuing through October 4 and list October 10 as the broadcast date for episode 3.
In particular, the following information can currently be verified through the official KBS website.
| Item to Verify | Currently Confirmed Information |
|---|---|
| Drama premiere | September 12 at 9:20 p.m. |
| Asian Games dates | September 19–October 4 |
| Final broadcast date for episode 3 | Further verification of an official program-specific confirmation is required |
Therefore, rather than treating 'Episode 3 will definitely air on October 10' as a confirmed fact, it is more accurate to say that October 10 is currently listed as a possible resumption date, but the final KBS broadcast schedule must still be checked. The Asian Games dates themselves have been officially confirmed by KBS.
Why the Hiatus May Last Longer Than Just September 19 and 20
The Asian Games are not a one-week event.
Because the competition runs from September 19 through October 4, it covers all three of the following weekends for a Saturday–Sunday drama.
September 19 and 20
September 26 and 27
October 3 and 4
In other words, viewers who watched episode 2 on September 13 may face more than just a single missed week. The regular broadcast schedule could be interrupted for several weeks.
The currently available episode guides that list October 10 as the date for episode 3 follow this pattern: the drama remains off the air throughout the affected period and resumes on the first Saturday afterward.
The Drama Has 14 Episodes. Will the Hiatus Also Delay the Finale?
'Love Other Than You' is currently listed as a 14-episode series. If two episodes aired every Saturday and Sunday without interruption after the September 12 premiere, the series would require 7 weeks based on a simple calculation. However, a mid-series hiatus would also push back the finale.
Some currently available episode guides list the following schedule.
| Episode | Listed Broadcast Date |
|---|---|
| Episode 1 | September 12 |
| Episode 2 | September 13 |
| Episode 3 | October 10 |
| Episode 4 | October 11 |
| Episode 13 | November 14 |
| Episode 14 | November 15 |
If this schedule is followed, the final episode, 14, will air on November 15. However, just like the date listed for episode 3, this could change depending on future sports coverage and special programming. It is therefore too early to regard the finale date as confirmed.
Where Can You Find the Most Accurate Broadcast Date for Episode 3?
The first places to check are the KBS 2TV daily and weekly broadcast schedules and the official 'Love Other Than You' program page.
During periods involving sports coverage, the broadcaster's actual programming schedule takes precedence over drama episode guides prepared in advance. Match durations and special programming may cause broadcast times to change, and decisions about cancellations may not be finalized until later.
In particular, when the schedules for the first and second weeks of October become available, check these three items together.
**① Whether 'Love Other Than You Episode 3' appears in the schedule
② Programming on KBS 2TV during the 9 p.m. hour
③ Whether Asian Games coverage or Chuseok holiday specials are scheduled**
The most reliable conclusion at this stage is that September 19–October 4 is a period potentially affected by Asian Games programming, and although online episode guides list October 10 as the broadcast date for episode 3, the final KBS schedule still needs to be verified.
