Why the Seoul Event Also Appears in Searches as ‘December Round 4’: Different Reference Dates
The Seoul Metropolitan Government's sports program information page still states that Round 4 of the 2026/27 ISU Short Track World Tour will take place in December. That page was last updated on 2026-04-06.
By contrast, the ISU published its 2026/27 season schedule later, on April 27, listing the Seoul competition for November 20–22. The ISU's current short track event listings also identify Seoul as Round 3 of the World Tour, with the same dates.
Therefore, when making plans as of 2026-09-23, using November 20–22, Seoul, World Tour Round 3 as the reference is consistent with the latest ISU information.
The World Tour Is Not the Only Event Coming to Seoul
The World Tour is not the final major short track event scheduled for Seoul this season. The ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships will also take place in Seoul on March 2027 12–14.
For fans in South Korea, this means there are two major international short track competitions scheduled in Seoul within the same season.
